About this Recipe

This is the best meatloaf recipe ever! A Chappell Hill family favorite, made with succulent ground Wagyu beef and a sweet and tangy glaze topping.
It is quick and easy to prepare and then its sit back for an hour while it bakes. Allow to rest for 10 minutes after baking or it will fall apart.
Once cooked this recipe will stay moist and can be refrigerated or frozen, and quickly reheated at mealtime.

Ingredients

  • 1 Pounds ground Wagyu beef
  • 1 cup dried bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup diced sweet onion
  • 1/2 cup fresh milk
  • 1 large fresh egg beaten
  • 2 tbsp. ketchup
  • 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp. chopped parsley leaves (or 1 tsp. dried)
  • 2 tsp. chopped fresh garlic (or 1 tsp. freeze dried)
  • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper

Glaze Topping

  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp. light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. red wine vinegar

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350F

Step 2

Prepare the ingredients. dice onions, whisk egg, etc

Step 3

In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients together with your hands until well combined. Be sure to mix the meat and breadcrumbs thoroughly as undermixing will cause the meatloaf to be mushy.

Step 4

In a small bowl, wisk together the glaze topping ingredients.

Step 5

Line a loaf pan with parchment paper. Add the mixture to a loaf pan, needing to an even layer.

Step 6

Spread the glaze topping over the meatloaf in an even layer.

Step 7

Bake uncovered for 55 minutes at 350F.

Step 8

Remove the meatloaf from the oven and allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
